Art Awakenings Programs - Seeking to foster recovery and empowerment through creative expression for adults living with serious psychiatric illness. The Open Art Studio provides a supportive environment in which artist can explore and develop creative and artistic skills. Participants gain personal awareness and professional skills for creating artwork for exhibit and sale.

FT Expressive Art Therapist

Jobing Description
Providing direct services and helping coordination of behavioral health rehabilitation services for clients enrolled in the agency's Art Awakenings program, you will facilitate expressive therapy and social skills groups in art studio settings; conduct and document individual assessments; plan, organize and conduct therapy, social, recreation and/or support groups; develop individualized treatment plans; conduct individual and family treatment sessions; and provide emergency face-to-face counseling and/or crisis intervention. You will also develop and maintain effective working relationships with community agencies, case managers and clinical teams; provide education, assistance and support to family members and those involved with the client; monitor medications held on behalf of program clients; and provide basic living skills training to clients and monitor their ability to function independently.

Skills/ Requirements
Creative arts and/or recreational experience a must. Minimum of Bachelors degree plus 2 years documented experience with SMI. Master's may be substituted for some experience. MUST have a fingerprint clearance card to work with children.
